Creating a New Device in SNMP Connector

To create a new SNMP device:

  1. Right-click on a network folder within the SNMP tree control of the SNMP Connector and select Device from the pop-up menu, as shown in the figure below.

Select a network folder within the SNMP tree control then click on the Add button in the Edit section of the Home ribbon at the top of the screen in Workbench64, then click on Device.

  1. The properties dialog for the new device appears in the right-hand pane of the SNMP Connector within the GENESIS64 Workbench, as shown in the figure below.

  1. In the Name field, type a name for the new device. For additional settings info, see Device Properties in SNMP Connector.

  2. When you have finished configuring the device properties, click the Apply button. The new device appears under the SNMP tree control.

 

Note: For each new device, a Heartbeat Tag is automatically created.
