The Pivot Control Properties window allows the user to customize numerous aspects of the selected item. Selecting the item either on-screen or through the Pivot Control Explorer will give the user access to that item's properties.
The properties available to each are listed below.
Pivot Control Properties Window
Common
(Name) - Unique string identifier for this object.
Title - Title for the Pivot Control. Unlike the Name property, the tile does not have to be unique.
Description - Description for the Pivot Control. The description typically appears as a tooltip for the object.
Common - Style
Opacity - The percentage of opacity for the Pivot Control. You can select 0, 25, 50, 75, or 100, or type a number from 0 to 100. 0 makes the map completely transparent or invisible; 100 makes the map appear solid. Decreasing the map's opacity highlights objects that are on it.
Effect - Visual effects (3D-edge, shadow, glow, blur) applied to the object.
Foreground - Foreground color, gradient, or pattern of this object.
Background - Background color, gradient, or pattern of this object.

Measurements
Left - Horizontal position of top-left corner of the object.
Top - Vertical position of top-left corner of the object.
Width - Width of the object.
Height - Height of the object.
Padding - The amount of space surrounding the content of the object.
Text
FontFamily - Specifies the name of the font to render text.
FontSize -Specifies the size of the font used to render text.
FontStyle - Specifies the style of the font used to render text (e.g. italic).
FontWeight - Specifies the thickness of the font used to render text (e.g. bold).
TextDecorations - Specifies the visual ornamentations added to text (underline, strikethrough).
TextAlignment - Specifies the horizontal alignment of the text.

HorizontalAlignment - Indicates where an element should be displayed on the horizontal axis relative to its parent element.
VerticalAlignment - Indicates where an element should be displayed on the vertical axis relative to its parent element.
RuntimeStretch - Defines how the text of this object will be stretched when the object's text changes during runtime mode.

Declutter
HideWhenZoomLessThan - The zoom factor below which the layer will be hidden during runtime.
HideWhenZoomMoreThan - The zoom factor above which the layer will be hidden during runtime.
HideWhenSecurityDenied - Specifies if security should be used to determine the visibility of this layer during runtime.
ReleaseDataWhenHidden - Set true to automatically release or request runtime data for the contents of this Layer based on this Layer's visibility.
