Connect to a Database

To connect to a database that is not already listed in the AlarmWorX Multimedia tree control, do the following:  

1. Select the server  (i.e. localhost) which is listed in the MMX tree control.

2. Either right-click and select Connect Database or click the Database button on the Home ribbon in the Edit section. The SQL connect Database Wizard displays.

3. If you want to use the Default SQL server click the Next button. If however you want to use a different server, de-select the Use Default SQL Server check box and select or browse for the server you want to connect to.

4. Select the database to connect to.

5. Click the Finish button.
