Permissions needed to run Project Reporting

 

Project Reporting (i.e. Project Document) reports are secured by the Workbench > Project Management > Edit Project application action.

 

The various Browse Items application actions, such as Workbench > Security > Browse Items do not apply to these reports – they are overridden by the Edit Project permission.

 

This means a user who does not have Workbench > Security > Browse Items can still get a list of users if they have Workbench > Project Management > Edit Project and they use the Project Document feature to generate a report on security users.

 

Please be aware that while the Edit Project is required to use the Project Document/Project Reporting feature, it also allows the user to significantly change the system (change the active databases, including security), so this permission should be given out carefully.
