ICONICS recommends that all customers use antivirus or similar security applications on all PCs in their network for data security and system protection.
As of this time, ICONICS knows of no compatibility issues with antimalware solutions. However, there are many antimalware solutions in the market and antimalware applications are constantly evolving to combat the latest security threats. So it is possible that users may encounter an antimalware solution that prevents proper functionality of ICONICS software. When troubleshooting an issue, ICONICS technical support may ask users to temporarily disable antimalware software in an effort to eliminate it as a possible cause of the issue. ICONICS will not ask users to permanently disable antimalware software as part of a solution.
If a compatibility issue is discovered, users are encouraged to contact their antimalware software vendor and ask them to release an update that properly validates the behavior of ICONICS software. Depending on the software, the user also has the option of adding an exception to the antimalware rules so it detects ICONICS Suite programs as trusted applications.
