Note: ICONICS CFSWorX support for IBM Maximo EAM SaaS will be ending in 2022 in accordance with the end of service of IBM Maximo EAM SaaS. Future support for IBM Maximo EAM SaaS Flex is under consideration for a future release.

Configuring Maximo

CFSWorX can optionally be used with Maximo. This makes it easy to import field worker information and experience information including crafts, organization, crews. This information is important when determining the best worker to contact. It is possible for CFSWorX to create work orders in Maximo.

The following instructions will assist with getting CFSWorX connected to an existing Maximo account.

NOTE: The Maximo Work Centers may change over time. Please consult IBM Maximo documentation if you have trouble finding any settings.

Creation of API Key

An authorized user with system administrator privileges must sign into the Maximo system.
Follow the instructions under the section API keys in the link below, add an authorized user to the INTADMIN group:

Create OR use an existing authorized user. https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSBLW8/com.ibm.mam.doc/wc_admin/t_create_new_user.html
Assign the user to the INTADMIN security group.
Create API key for the user by clicking on the Integration tab in Administration Work Center, then select API Keys subtab and click on Add API key.
Select the user created earlier and click on Add.
Copy the API key for later use.

Assigning Permissions to Object Structures

Go to Security Groups application and select INTADMIN group.
Click on Object structures tab and assign permissions mentioned below to the following object structures

MXAPIPERSON
- Read MXAPIPERSON
MXAPILABOR
- Read MXAPILABOR
MXAPILABORCRAFTRATE
- Read MXAPILABORCRAFTRATE
MXAPIORGANIZATION
- Read MXAPIORGANIZATION
MXAPICRAFT
- Read MXAPICRAFT
MXAPIAMCREW
- Read MXAPIAMCREW
MXAPILOCATIONS
- Read MXAPILOCATIONS
MXAPIWO
- Read MXAPIWO
- Insert MXAPIWO
- Save MXAPIWO
- Grant access to all 14 actions under the MXAPIWO object structure.

Follow the same steps for MAXADMIN group: Grant the permissions to the same object structures as mentioned above.

NOTE: These permissions were identified as minimum by CFSWorX and these minimum permissions may change.

Creating Maximo Source in Workbench

Open Workbench.
Expand Connected Field Workers.
Under Field Workers, add a Maximo source.
Give the source a name.
In the Maximo Settings section, fill in the IBMiD, API Key assigned to this IBMiD.
Make other changes as desired (see product help for other documentation).
Apply the changes.
