Primitives for Creating Objects from Scratch

You can create basic objects from scratch by using the primitive 3D structures that are available to you in GraphWorX64. These shapes include cones, spheres, cylinders, and cubes which you can combine to create complex illustrations or models. The objects you produce in this way can be very effective for your GraphWorX64 display.

Keep in mind that GraphWorX64 is real-time tool, not a graphics tool. For that reason, GraphWorX64 does not provide the detail for modeling that a CAD (computer-aided designed) product provides. The intent of GraphWorX64 primitives is to give you tools that let you show, for example, a boiler in real time; its intent is not to provide the tools to design a boiler.

However, if it is detailed models that you want to use in your 3D views, ICONICS recommends using models created in a CAD product. (Half of the 3D examples in GenDemo use models that were created in CAD programs.) Models created using external CAD tools can be imported into GraphWorX64 for use in 3D views.
