Starting 10.97.2, all Internet of Things communication can work through a proxy on Windows operating systems.
The proxy must be properly configured in the operating system. If credentials are needed, then additional configuration must be made in Platform Services Configuration. The Proxy Server Address must be entered on the Basic tab and the proxy’s credentials must be specified on the Passwords tab using the Web Proxy service type.
Note that the proxy is only supported when the publisher or subscriber connection is configured to use the Web Sockets protocol.
Note that if you want to use the proxy, you must set the communication protocol to Web Sockets. You need to do it in the configuration of the Event Hub Connection String, and you need to set it in the Protocol settings.
