The features on this page require an add-on to work with GENESIS64 Basic SCADA. |
Since GENESIS64 V10.85, BACnet Point Names have been unified.
In previous versions of GENESIS64, there were two syntaxes for BACnet tags available:
- bacnet:<point_name>
- @bacnet64:<point_name>.Value
While both syntaxes worked, differences in performance could occur depending on which syntax was chosen. The bacnet:<point_name> syntax was optimal for FrameWorX clients, whereas the @bacnet64:<point_name> syntax was optimal for native clients such as the AlarmWorX64 Server and TrendWorX64 Logger.
Since the 10.85 release, the user can use the bacnet:<point_name> syntax for all types of clients and receive optimal performance. The user no longer needs to decide which syntax is needed for optimal performance.
Note, the @bacnet64:<point_name>.Value syntax no longer will show up in the browser. However, this tag syntax is still supported and existing applications that use this syntax will still work in versions after V10.85.
