The AlarmWorX64 Viewer notifies you of unusual conditions that occur within your plant and gives you the opportunity to acknowledge these alarms from your mobile device. The AlarmWorX64 Viewer features a new method of viewing alarms designed specifically for mobile devices, making it even easier for you to relay information about important changes in the state of your system with your colleagues.
In the AlarmWorX64 Viewer, you interact with the alarms for your process using a list view. This touch-friendly control adapts to every type of mobile device. You can also customize the colors and borders that appear in the list view as well as the details that appear under each alarm in the list. For more information about this new layout, see the Alarms List View topic.
If you have used a desktop version of AlarmWorX64 (either AlarmWorX64 Viewer in Workbench Classic or AlarmWorX64 Viewer in the Workbench), you'll notice that the layout and configuration options in the AlarmWorX64 Viewer are fairly similar, other than the list view described above. However, the AlarmWorX64 Viewer does differ from its desktop counterparts in several other important ways. In particular, the AlarmWorX64 Viewer:
Does not support tabs. If you wish to view groups of alarms separately, you need to create multiple lists to do so.
Does not display a title or subtitle. The name that you give to an alarm list appears as the label for an icon in the AppHub.
Uses an AppBar instead of a toolbar to display alarm notification options, but these options remain mostly the same. For more details about the AppBar, see the AlarmWorX AppBar topic.
Includes simpler runtime dialogs so that you can see and adjust key settings more easily on your mobile device.
Any license that you have purchased for a GENESIS64 product applies to the AlarmWorX64 Viewer, as well. In particular, the alarm subscriptions that you include in your lists count against the alarm point count in your GENESIS64 license.
The AlarmWorX64 Viewer can display different languages within alarm lists. Any alarm details that display text can include language aliases. The text that these aliases show can change based on the language you have selected. For more information about language aliases, see the GENESIS64 help documentation.
