Legend Options for Trends

The TrendWorX64 Viewer supports a legend view, where you can see each of the pens (data sources) that can appear on the main trend display as well as different properties for these pens. You can dock the legend view (that is, keep it visible for an extended period of time) on the left- or right-hand sides of your mobile device screen. By default, the legend is hidden in a TrendWorX64 Viewer display.

Showing and Hiding the Legend View

To show the legend view if it is hidden, flick away from the side of the screen where you would like to see the legend appear. (For example, if you wanted to see the legend appear on the left-hand side of the screen, you would place your finger on the main trend display and drag it towards the right-hand side of your mobile display screen.)

To hide the legend view if it is currently visible, flick towards the side of the screen where the legend currently appears.

If you would like to switch the side of the screen where the legend appears, flick towards the side of the screen where the legend currently appears, then flick in that same direction again. This hides the legend view temporarily, then makes it visible on the opposite side of the screen.

Showing and Hiding Pens

The legend lists each of the pens you have included in a trend display, even if not all of those pens are visible at a given time. Pens that are currently hidden from view are grayed out within the legend view. By default, all configured pens are visible in the legend view.

To hide a pen that is currently visible in the trend display:

Find the name of the pen in the legend view and flick towards the edge of your screen.

You can complete this same flick action to show a pen that is currently hidden from the trend display, as well.

Showing and Hiding Pen Properties

The legend lists each of the pens you have included in a trend display and allows you to see the properties associated with each pen, such as the connection status and most recent value, in a collapsible list underneath each pen. By default, these pen properties are hidden.

To show the properties related to a specific pen:

Tap the name of the of the pen in the legend view. The pen's properties appear immediately underneath the name of the pen, and information about all pens beneath the selected pen moves toward the bottom of the legend view.

You can complete this same tap action to hide the set of properties related to a pen that is currently visible.
