Displaying Overall Information About a Device

  1. Launch Workbench64.
  2. Switch it to Runtime mode by clicking the ‘Runtime’ button in the very left of the ‘Home’ tab in the ribbon bar.
  3. Switch to the BACnet Runtime provider.
  4. In the tree, expand the ‘localhost’ root item and select your desired device.

Device Status

In the BACnet Runtime tree control, it will show a red X through any devices that are offline or can’t be reached.

Network Browsing

If you expand each device in the tree, it shows all of the objects that belong to it.

  1. Right-click it and choose ‘View Property Sheet’. This will display a table with data from all objects in the device (only in text form). When all data are loaded in the grid (table), you can switch details (amount of displayed properties) by switching between Basic, Advanced, BACnet and Custom radio boxes.

If a given field has a white background (not grey), it is writable. You can click the given cell, write a new value, hit the ENTER key and confirm changes in order to write a new value.

The property sheet view is available at the root level to view a summary of each device. You can manage the columns that are visible in the property sheet by choosing amongst the preset options. You can customize the view by choosing the Custom radio button or by right-clicking in the column header and choosing “Show/Hide Columns”.

The property sheet view is then available for each device to show a summary of all of its objects.

The property sheet view can be invoked for each individual object to view or update each of its properties.
