If data does not appear in your KPIWorX dashboard, check the following:
Save your dashboard and refresh your browser window. Sometimes this will allow troublesome data sources to load.
Does the data source work in other clients? Try opening it in the Data Explorer on the server machine.
Make sure the type of data you are using is compatible with the type of widget. For example, you cannot use string data as the value for a categorical chart if the strings cannot be converted to a number.
Sometimes removing the data mapping and re-mapping it will allow the data to load.
If you try to log in and get an error that says, Login Error: This operation is not supported, this likely means that your ICONICS security is not enabled. To enable security:
Open Workbench.
In Project Explorer, expand Security and go to Global Settings.
If you do not currently have a user, create a user and make sure it has at minimum Workbench > Security checked under Application Action. You can later use this user to log back into security and modify the security settings.
On the General tab, check the box for Security active and hit Apply.
For more information on ICONICS security, see GENESIS64 Security - Quick Start.
If you are trying to add a custom symbol and it did not appear in the KPIWorX component library, see Custom symbol troubleshooting.
